Tools I use
I use the most popular innovation methods, including Design Sprint, JTBD, Design Thinking, ODI, and CPSP.
If you do your research and spend enough time studying, practicing, and experimenting with all the frameworks out there, you’ll soon realize that each has specific strengths and weaknesses that rarely overlap.
What I’ve been able to do is combine elements from the best frameworks to create a framework of frameworks that is better than a single framework.
Graphically, this would look like:
If one framework is strong in elements A, B, and C, while another framework is strong in elements D, E, and F, I’ve been able to combine the best of both and leave out what doesn’t work to yield a much more efficient method.
